Celebrating 25 years of building green, high-performing homes.
Lea has lived many places and moved to Colorado by way of Montana eight years ago. What attracted Lea to the Front Range are the forward thinking communities who strive to minimize the impact on the environment. This is a lifelong passion of Lea’s.
Green building practices are what drew Lea into working with Cottonwood Custom Builders in the first place. As a project manager at CCBI, her duties include fostering the communication between the trades, architect, and homeowners, and keeping the project on schedule and within budget. Her favorite aspect of being a project manager is how every day brings new challenges and new projects.
Her past work experience includes working in construction and being a University Professor at the University of Denver and the University of Colorado, primarily working as a sculpture lecturer. In her free time, Lea enjoys working in her ceramics studio, trail running, and backcountry camping. She’s also an undercover cowgirl and showed horses for 18 years. Wrangling cattle and projects are an easy feat for this now-Colorado cowgirl.
I start every morning… by exercising my French Press vigorously.
I end every day by… a good day ends with a trail run or an IPA.
How do you help protect the environment on a day-to-day basis? You’ll often see me sorting recyclables.
What’s your favorite hangout spot in Boulder? Not much time left for that!
